Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently visited the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant in Pennsylvania to express his gratitude to the workers producing vital 155mm artillery shells for Ukraine's defense against Russia.

This factory is one of the key facilities manufacturing these shells, which are used in howitzer systems critical to Ukraine's military efforts. Zelensky emphasized the workers' importance, stating that "400 people save millions of Ukrainian people" during his tour of the plant.

Zelensky's visit comes as part of a broader effort to bolster U.S. support for Ukraine and thank American workers who have ramped up production to meet the demands of the ongoing war. The factory has increased production significantly over the past year, helping to meet Ukraine's consumption of thousands of shells daily.

This visit also highlights the connection between U.S. defense aid and American jobs, with Zelensky's presence underscoring the shared effort in Ukraine's fight for independence.

The visit was marked by tight security, and it drew a small group of supporters who waved Ukrainian flags to show their solidarity.
